Damsel In Distress….Andy’s & Co to the rescue!

Hello,

I’m a student from pate’s grammar school in Cheltenham in year 12 and we’re doing a charity challenge day when we’re raising money for the motor neuron disease association. For this, we’re organizing a wide range of events.

One of the things we are doing is organizing the head boy of our house to have his afro shaved off. For this we would need a mobile barber and I was wondering if you could give a quote to come into the school to shave off his afro in a public event?

Thank you in advance,

Florence Henry.

So we replied…….

Hi Florence

Thanks for the email.

When is the event at your school? Let me know the details and hopefully we can do something for you guys. As for the price, well as its for ‘Charity’ it will be free! Hopefully that’s cheap enough for you guys ;-)

Kind regards

Andy

So we sent Olly along armed with his clippers!!!

Andy’s & Co Help Shelly with her Fundraising

Brave mum gives school a head starts

WHEN facing a battle with cancer, fundraising would be the last thing on most people’s minds.

But specialist nurse Shelley Smith is determined to do something positive after being diagnosed with breast cancer in May.

The mum-of-two from Leckhampton has had her head shaved to raise funds for an appeal launched by St Rose’s School in Stroud to create a hydrotherapy pool and physiotherapy unit.

The 41-year-old’s nephew William Smith, 12, who has Down’s Syndrome, attends the school.

Shelley said: “I’m trying to turn something negative into a positive.”

Shelley, who starts chemotherapy today and underwent three operations in June, is hoping to raise about £2,000 for the school’s Smile Appeal.

She went under the clippers at Andy’s and Co yesterday.

Yes, we have yet another new web site.

This one has been created using the industry standard WordPress software and should make updates and registrations a lot simpler and smoother.
